ABSTRACT
It is known that, geography of Iran is very important for Turkish history from ancient times.
Throughout its history, this geography managed by various Turkish states is still have the same
importance. Studies on the Turkish communities in Iran accelerated in recent years. In this way,
our knowledge of the region is also increasing day by day. Sungur Turks who lives in Kermanshah
Province of Iran constitute the basis of this study are also a Turkish community. The study
provides general information about the Sungur Turks with examples of the phonetic and
